John Colwill is based in Perth, Western Australia.

John has been involved with many facets of the horticultural media, as a producer of radio and television programmes, as a presenter of radio and television programmes and as a writer for daily newspapers, monthly magazines and journals.

These days John concentrates on promoting environmentally sustainable gardening practices. He is a Waterwise consultant to the Water Corporation and other organisations in WA. In this capacity he has developed and delivered a set of Waterwise training courses for a wide range of horticultural industries. He has also written and produced a range of literature and developed the original, award winning Waterwise Plants for WA database.

John is a past honorary member of the Nursery & Garden Industry Association of WA
and the proud winner of the 1991 Wilkie AFL (Anti Football League) medal.
